Stand Up in the Basement is Southampton’s top comedy club, bringing unforgettable laughter to the city centre.
Join us on the last Tuesday of every month at Heartbreakers Bar & Venue for top-tier comedy, featuring comedians from Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Live at the Apollo, Taskmaster, Britain’s Got Talent, and more.

Hosted by award-winning Colin Owens, our shows promise a fun, relaxed atmosphere with full bar service available upstairs and downstairs.
Whether you're out with friends, colleagues, or on a date, Stand Up in the Basement promises an epic night out.ā āāā
Along with familiar faces from TV, we showcase some of the best circuit comics, fresh raw talent, and occasionally, a few big names testing out new material. You can find the line-ups to our shows below, but it really doesn't matter if you know who's on stage – every month is packed with laughter and top-notch comedy. Who knows? You might just find your next favourite comedy act and/or witness the next big comedy star before they hit the big time!
